Star Trek Miscellany

I can't remember which number I'm on for Fannish Fifty, so I'm just not labeling this one XD
I've mentioned my TNG multichap Noli Me Tangere//Touch Me Not a few times -- it's a remix of Gill Marsden's Riker/Troi fic "The Greatest of All Things Blue," which I read in the zine Matter of Honor #3 and really loved. Well, in the comments recently, a few people asked for copies of the fic, and I had already "scanned" the whole thing (clumsily, with my phone) so my cowriter could read it. So I just popped those images into a google drive and shared them, and I figured I could do this for my other zines too.
I started with Make It So #7 purely because I love the cover (...which did not photograph well, so use your imagination. Picture a very lovely portrait of S2 Riker. Wow! So hot!! Good work, brain). And I only uploaded one story, because oof, it takes so long... But here it is: "Or Your Dreams Will Come True" by Marie Chettle.

A thousand apologies for my refusal to just take the staples out and use a scanner.
In other cool news, I got my hands on the Riker-centric fanzine Number One last night, so I can't wait to read and review those! (Take note that this was NOT because Randy Landers actually answered my emails, but because a fellow zine collector helped me out).
And today, I saw that someone had bookmarked my Riker/Troi fic Mood Indigo to a collection of Star Trek fics that read like unaired episodes. Which sounds like EXACTLY the type of fic I want to read, so I clicked on it and found these gems:
The Surface is a Strange and Wonderful Place by
sixbeforelunch
Burning Walls and Building Bridges by yassifiedjimkirk for the K/S Spring Fever this year (so bummed out that I didn't participate this year. It totally slipped my mind until I saw the last call).
I love fics about Tarsus IV, with my all-time favorite being Hope in Dust by
grayswandir
"Burning Walls and Building Bridges" was also excellent though, and the scene at the end where a young Kirk asks for help from Chris Pike almost made me cry.
And in Star Trek-adjacent news...
Meaning "Gargoyles" news... The new comic issue came out today and is hopefully waiting in my mailbox at home! I can't wait for the Dark Ages spin-off. And I contacted NadiaYar to ask if she had any ideas she wanted to co-write. She shot me three plot bunnies right away, and I selected one we'd outlined last year! I'm excited to finish it up and post it. It's Thailog/Elisa, and since I don't normally focus on Thailog, it will be a fun challenge. I'd love to write a Hudson-centric fic next.
