Honestly, I can't say that it WAS advertised as presenting different perspectives ... it's just one of my personal prerequisites for a book like this! I expect some diversity. At least, I expect some acknowledgment of the different forms rape takes, and the different victims, like you see in any textbook definition of rape.
From what I can tell though, the book more advertised itself as essays on rape culture -- and it failed to live up to that promise imo. That said, the concept of "rape culture" as presented in mainstream feminist books usually strikes me as ... not false, exactly, but a little contrived, and usually heavily interwoven with radfem politics.
