Demona is back!
Jul. 12th, 2023 11:53 amI hit 16K in my TNG fic last night! Having trouble getting into it today; I've managed one new scene and that's it.
Last night I ordered Thai food, read the new Gargoyles comic issue, and went straight to sleep! Slept for 15 hours. The new comic is fantastic. It's Issue #7, and they've finally shed the introductory flavor that made the first 6 issues a drag. Things are heating up, Demona is back, she looks fantastic (unlike everyone else in this art style, sob), plotlines are intersecting, and I actually enjoyed every single page and can't wait for more. Feels like the old TV show, at last XD
My favorite moment:
Lawyer Tobe: "Frankly, what we need are a few old-fashioned character witnesses. Any suggestions?"
Goliath: "Hmm. Perhaps Halcyon Renard."
Tobe: "Good. Yes. I'll reach out to his people."
Goliath: "And perhaps even... David Xanatos?"
Tobe: "...."
Goliath: "...Or perhaps not."
Tobe: "Yeah. No."
The first issue of "Dark Ages" comes out soon, and I still need to preorder everything post-#7! Also, the David Xanatos NECA action figure is supposed to ship this month, so I'm excited for that. I still haven't heard any news re: an original Marvel reprint, so I'm resigning myself to the idea that they canceled it completely after Issue 1. Resigning myself ... but not quite resigning myself ENOUGH to cough up $$$ for the old issues that I like. I'm still holding out hope that they'll reprint them soon XD OK, so I'm not resigned at all.
